Signs Along the Writing Road
Take a moment from writing to relax and refresh. I’ve learned when I feel tense and hurried to write, I produce sloppy work. Then more time is required to rewrite and correct my slapdash job. But when I take a break to stroll with my miniature dachshunds, sip coffee on my back deck, or do some housework, my creative mind is fresh and the ideas flow easier onto paper.
The writing road is crammed with slow, amateur writers, intermediate ones, and professionals zipping along in the fast lane. Don’t be afraid to pull over occasionally for a rest stop. It might help you enter the highway, maintain your momentum, and arrive at your published destination.
