Beth’s 2008 Speaking Engagements
- March 14-15: Hearts at Home National Conference in Bloomington/Normal, IL.
- October 3-4: Hearts at Home Great Lakes Regional Conference in Grand Rapids, MI.
- November 7-8: Hearts at Home North Central Regional Conference in Rochester, MN
At these conferences, Beth will repeat her workshops: Baby Changes Everything: Now Tell Me Something I Don’t Know and Help Your Son Choose Purity Instead of Pornography.
Beth’s speaking topics include:
Baby Changes Everything: Now Tell Me Something I Don’t Know – With humor and personal stories, Beth encourages moms to embrace how their children change them.
Help Your Son Choose Purity Instead of Pornography – Based on her article published in Discipleship Journal, Beth shares honestly about how moms can help their sons when tempted by pornography.
Lower the Bar – Forget about being the perfect mom. Lower your expectations and give yourself some breathing space as a mom.
Want to Go for a Walk? – Based on Colossians 1:10, this talk explores the practical aspects of living life “in a manner worthy.”
Don’t Be a Wanna-Be – Too often, women get snared in the comparison trap. The truth in Galatians 6:4-6 encourages us to focus on being who God made us to be—not try to be someone else.
Pitch It! – A step-by-step workshop to help writers develop a pitch sheet for their nonfiction or fiction book.
Running Stream, Stagnant Pond, Teaching Outside the Box, and Know Well the Condition of Your Flocks – This series helps Bible study teachers develop their teaching styles, discussing topics such as teaching more creatively, overcoming your weaknesses, and getting to know the personality of your class.
